Spain is moving on to the final at Euro 2024, having defeated France 2-1 in Tuesday's semifinal match at Munich Football Arena in Germany.

5:09 PM ET: Spain Wins and Advances to the Final
FINAL: Spain 2, France 1
Spain is heading back to the Euros championship for the first time since 2012. La Roja defeated France, 2-1, in Tuesday's semifinal match.
France took an early lead in the ninth minute with a header from Randal Kolo Muani, marking their first open-play goal of the tournament and their last goal of Euro 2024.
Spain quickly responded. Lamine Yamal scored an impressive strike from outside the box in the 21st minute, making history as the youngest goal scorer in Euros history. Just four minutes later, Dani Olmo added a second goal, controlling a loose ball in the box and firing a shot that deflected off France's Jules Koundé and into the net. Initially ruled an own goal, it was later credited to Olmo, giving him four goals in the tournament and a strong position for the Golden Boot.
France struggled to create opportunities in the second half, managing only two shots on goal after their opening score.
Spain, aiming for their fourth Euro title, will play in their first major tournament final since their golden years. Their last appearance in a Euros final was in 2012, where they defeated Italy 4-0.
Spain will face the winner of Wednesday's Netherlands-England match in the final.

France had some late chances to level the match. Kylian Mbappé had a prime opportunity in the 86th minute, but his shot went over the net. Lamine Yamal received a yellow card for pulling on Theo Hernández's uniform before being subbed off.
4:43 PM ET: Lamine Yamal Searches for His Second Goal

After becoming the youngest goal scorer in Euros history in the first half, Lamine Yamal aimed for another in the second half. His shot just missed the net.
4:28 PM ET: France Makes a Trio of Key Substitutions

Didier Deschamps made three substitutions just over 15 minutes into the second half, bringing in Antoine Griezmann, Bradley Barcola, and Eduardo Camavinga for Randal Kolo Muani, N'Golo Kanté, and Adrien Rabiot.
4:24 PM ET: Simón with the Risky Stop
60': Spain 2, France 1
Ousmane Dembélé had a good run in the 60th minute, but Spain goalkeeper Unai Simón made a risky stop to prevent a goal.
4:18 PM ET: France Searching for the Equalizer

France had a good chance to score early in the second half. Ousmane Dembélé's corner kick found Aurélien Tchouaméni, whose header was stopped by Unai Simón.
3:53 PM ET: Spain Carries 2-1 Lead into Halftime
Halftime: Spain 2, France 1
After France's early goal, Spain quickly took the lead with two goals in five minutes. Lamine Yamal's historic goal in the 21st minute was followed by Dani Olmo's strike in the 25th minute. The first half ended with Spain leading 2-1.
