Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival took place in Reno on Sunday, even though the official date of the festival is Monday. The event, hosted by the Asian Community Development Council and the Organization of Asian Nevada, featured traditional dragon boat races, cultural performances, and various activities.

Attendees enjoyed an Asian lunch and received rice dumpling gift bags as part of the festivities. Organizers emphasized that the tradition is about celebrating freedom and liberty, as well as fostering community spirit, culture, teamwork, and perseverance.
