Bangladesh Women vs India Women 5th T20I: Hemalatha, Radha complete Series Whitewash for India

India vs Bangladesh 5th women’s T20I Live Score: India completed a 5-0 series sweep after a 21-run win in the fifth and final T20I against Bangladesh in Sylhet on Thursday.

Naming an unchanged side, captain Harmanpreet Kaur opted to bat first. India posted their best total of the series as they reached 156/5 in 20 overs, riding on 30-plus scores for Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur and D Hemalatha, and a good cameo at the end by Richa Ghosh. In reply, Bangladesh made their best total of the series too, crossing 120 for the first time. Despite losing half the side early, a middle order rearguard took Bangladesh to 135/6. Radha Yadav picked up three wickets, to be player of the match as well as player of the series.

The ongoing five-match series in Sylhet against Bangladesh was a chance for the Indian team to prepare for the future since they will play all of their group-stage matches at the same venue in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup campaign in October later this year.
